This week we will be testing on the poem, key dates, and Australia.
Math:
Be practicing multiplication facts.
Grammar:
Review the definitions of the parts of speech. This can be confusing when they are trying to match these on the test.
Composition:
Damocles and the king is broken up into four week. We are on week three just the climax, resolution, and theme. Week four we will combine all the final drafts into a three paragraph story. Each week will have a checklist that needs to be completed for that section.

Reading
We are starting "Squanto, Friend of Pilgrims" this week. We will be completing a mobile for this book. They will have three weeks to complete the mobile. It is due Oct 21. They will need to have the setting, characters, problem/conflict, the resolution/solution, and some of your favorite parts. They will fill out parts as they read the book. These will be attached to each string on their mobile. These can be a combination of writing and drawing.
History:
We will be learning 12 key dates during the year. We will be leaning 3 dates a quarter. At the end of the quarter there will be a quiz. The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses. The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.
