Complete one hour of Aleks math per week.  If you have reached the multiplication and division, please stop working on continuing my path.  You can practice addition and subtraction with games in the quick tables.

 Remember to complete the addition math fact page everyday.

Grammar:

Review the definitions of the parts of speech.  This can be confusing when they are trying to match these on the test.

Composition:

Damocles and the king is broken up into four week. Week one all they will write about is the characters and setting. Week two just the conflict and plot. Week three is the climax, resolution and theme. Week four we will combine all the final drafts into a three paragraph story. Each week will have a checklist that needs to be completed for that section.

Wednesday - Review new concepts, review vocab, start FD

Thursday - Finish FD, oral retell, review vocab

Reading

We are starting "The Hundred Dresses" this week. We will be completing a book report flaps for this book.  This is like the timeline report.  The student will write each part of the time line behind a flap.  We will make the flag book at school on Wednesday.  They will add to each flap after they have read for that day.

History:

We will be learning 12 key dates during the year.  We will be leaning 3 dates a quarter.  At the end of the quarter there will be a quiz.  The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses.  The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.
