Journal Entries:Journal entries need at least three complete sentences to answer the question. Journal entries will be completed in Bible, history in the black composition notebook that was sent home.Math:

Grammar:
In grammar this year, we will discuss synonyms and antonyms when creating our improved sentences, but we will not be doing the vocabulary in the Shurley English. On all test the vocabulary synonym and antonym section will be omitted. Vocabulary will be done through IEW.
Composition:
Oral re-tell of KWO can be done with parents, siblings, animals, friends, grandparents, stuffed animals, etc. Remember to have your child look at their KWO and then look up to speak. We want to make sure that they are not speaking into their book.
We introduce lesson 2 vocabulary words this week. Students will be quizzed periodically on vocab words. All quizzes will be cumulative. Be sure to review words at home.

History:
We will be learning 12 key dates during the year. We will be leaning 3 dates a quarter. At the end of the quarter there will be a quiz. The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses. The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.
