Math:
Practice multiplication facts.

Grammar:
We will be learning the seven subject pronouns, seven possessive pronouns, and the seven object pronouns the next two weeks.  Please be working on the jingles for the different types of pronouns.  They will have to be able to list all the different types on the test.

Composition:
This week we are continuing Pecos Bill, a tall tale. This will be a three week paper. This week we are working on section two, conflict and plot. We will be adding a new section to this paper each week.

Reading
We are reading "A Cricket in Time Square" this week.  The project for this book is a diorama.  Your student will construct a diorama of one of the main events of this book. They will make a 3-dimensional scene, including models of characters, the setting, and objects. A shoebox makes a great place to build a diorama.  Then they will write a description of the scene.  Project is due Feb 12, 2020.  

History:
Memorize the three dates for this quarter. The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses. The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.

Thanksgiving program 
For the Thanksgiving program our class is doing Squanto. Your child received their lines on Wednesday. They should have been placed behind the Reading tab in their binder. Please allow time for your child to rehearse their lines. We will practice at school, but getting extra time outside of school will be helpful as well.

Practicing multiplication facts. 

Grammar:
We are learning subject verb agreement the next two weeks. Students are often confused that a plural verb doesn't end in an s. Plenty of practice will help with this. 

Composition:
We are reviewing the parts of a story for the next two weeks. We will go through the process little faster this time.We will be writing all three parts during the next two weeks. Please help your child keep track of which paper they need to bring to school for IEW that day. Over the last four weeks many students wrote several extra pages because they did not have the one they needed at school. I'll do my best to help send reminders as well.

We will begin reading "The Cabin Faced West" this week.  The project for this book is a book report posters. Have your child first sketch their posters on a sheet of notebook paper.  Then, provide them with a large piece of poster paper or chart paper.  Posters must identify main characters, setting, title, problem, and solution along with a drawing of a part of the story. 

History:
